The Mason Players exist in order to create production and performance opportunities in theater for Mason students and to bring live theater to the Mason community. Its mission coexists with the College of Visual and Performing Arts and the School of Theater, with whom it enjoys a close working relationship. The Mason Players are determined to bring artistic enlightenment to the lives of the university community and beyond.
The Mason Players is a faculty-directed student organization within the School of Theater which produces six captivating productions each season. Mainstage productions are directed by faculty membersand visiting guest artists, and studio productions are directed by students. Plays selected for the annual Ten-Minute Play Festival are student-directed and student-written.
Auditions for the productions are open to all full-time Mason students. Visit our Technical Positions web page if you are interested in working as a stage manager, designer, dramaturg, on set construction, lighting crews, or becoming a crew supervisor.
Participation in Mason Players productions may be applied for academic credit. Please visit the School of Theater for details.
