Biography
Dr. Alman is the Head of Theater Studies and teaches courses in the Theater Studies and Performance areas. She is a certified Associate Teacher of Fitzmaurice Voicework, has a Ph.D. in Theater and Performance Studies from the University of Maryland, College Park and an M.F.A. in Performance from the Alabama Shakespeare Festival/University of Alabama's Professional Actor Training Program. She is the Founder of Spiel, an Executive Communications Consulting and Coaching Company. serving clients nationally and internationally. She has been a Voice, Speech, and Text Coach contracted by professional theaters in the greater Washington, DC area for over 20 years. Dr. Alman, a proud member of Actors' Equity Association since 1995, has performed in over 100 professional productions nationally.
